What This Course Covers
1. The Science of HydraFacial - Vortex Technology and Transdermal Infusion
Explains the mechanism of the vortex tip: a combination of vacuum and fluid creates micro-channels that deliver serum transdermally, making it more effective than manual application.
2. HydraFacial vs Generic Hydrodermabrasion - A Clinical Distinction
Branded HydraFacial uses a proprietary multi-tip system with specific serum chemistry; generic devices only offer a basic vacuum-water mechanism and cannot make equivalent claims.
3. Booster Serum Selection - The Clinical Decision That Determines Results
Different serums (high/low molecular weight HA, antioxidants, peptides, growth factors) address different skin concerns; choosing the right serum determines the clinical outcome.
4. Fitzpatrick Skin Typing for HydraFacial Protocol Adaptation
The protocol (peel time, suction, serum) is adjusted according to skin type, particularly for pigmentation-prone (Types IV–VI) and sensitive (Types I–II) skin.
5. The Seven Treatment Phases - What Each Does and Why
Lymphatic activation → Deep cleanse → Glycolic/salicylic peel → Extraction → Serum infusion → LED therapy (optional) → Peptide/growth factor infusion (optional).
6. LED Phototherapy - Clinical Rationale, Not Just Add-On
Blue LED (415nm) is used for acne and bacteria control; Red LED (633nm) supports healing and collagen boosting; both can be combined with lymphatic drainage for maximum results.

One structured training day theory in the morning, supervised live model practice in the afternoon.
Morning - Science, Protocol and Clinical Decision-Making
Vortex technology science, the seven treatment phases in clinical detail, booster serum chemistry, Fitzpatrick protocol adaptation, LED phototherapy rationale, contraindication assessment, device operation and maintenance. Interactive throughout Laura works through real client scenarios, common treatment questions and the protocol decisions that produce consistently excellent results versus mediocre ones.
Afternoon - Live Model Practice
Full HydraFacial treatments on live models under Laura's direct supervision. Every delegate performs the complete protocol not one phase while observing the rest. Real-time feedback on tip positioning, suction pressure selection, serum application, LED sequencing and post-treatment assessment. You leave having treated a real client through the complete protocol, with the clinical confidence to replicate it in your own practice from day one.
On Completion
CPD certificate issued on the day. Protocol reference guide, Fitzpatrick adaptation chart, serum selection reference and post-treatment client homecare documentation provided. Post-course clinical support from Laura as you set up your HydraFacial service.
