Each stage is a portfolio-based qualification that requires a sustained period of structured learning and documented clinical practice, and the pathway as a whole is the cumulative total of those stages completed in sequence.
Most candidates completing the full pathway from L3 to L7 do so over two to four years, depending on their pace through each portfolio, their clinical workload and the speed at which they can build sufficient evidence at each level. How the Portfolio Is Built at Each Stage
Every qualification in the Full Career Pathway is assessed through a portfolio of evidence submitted to ProQual AB. There are no written examinations. Assessment at each level is based on proof that you have done the work planned, delivered, recorded, and reflected on real clinical practice to the standard required at that level of the framework.
At Level 3, evidence takes the form of written assignments, case studies and professional discussions covering the theory content. From Level 4 onwards, portfolio evidence includes documented treatment records, photographic evidence, assessor observation reports, client consent and consultation records, reflective accounts and witness testimony where applicable.
The standard of evidence required increases at each level; what is sufficient at Level 4 does not meet the requirements at Level 6 or Level 7. Laura will guide you through the evidence requirements at each stage and review your portfolio before submission to ensure it meets ProQual's standards.
